PETER FERRANDINO
Founder and President
As Founder and President of Ferrandino & Son, Inc., Peter has been actively involved in every facet of the business, including marketing and sales, new business development, contract negotiation, project management and customer relations. Since founding the company, Peter has successfully built projects for, and developed relationships with, some of the nation’s most prestigious companies, including Starbucks, McDonald’s, Sears, Washington Mutual Bank and Walgreen’s.
Under Peter’s leadership, Ferrandino & Son has experienced favorable increases in sales volume and new customer growth since its inception in 1993. With more than 20 years of business and construction experience, Peter brings to each project his extensive industry knowledge, as well as his proven track record of completing projects under or within budget and within mission-critical deadlines.
As Ferrandino & Son’s President, Peter’s goal is to have the company recognized by its clients as delivering uncompromised service, while making Ferrandino & Son a rewarding place to work for all staff members.
Having spent his entire career in construction, Peter’s most rewarding experiences have been in the field working with his colleagues to deliver projects to clients. Peter takes great pride in building rewarding, long-term business relationships and successful projects.
Peter is a member of several industry and community organizations, including serving as a board member for the Long Island Charities Foundation. In 2007, Peter was honored by the Long Island Charities as their “Man of the Year” in recognition of his tireless commitment and support to local non-profit organizations and charities.
MICHAEL ROSE
Chief Financial Officer and Director of Human Resources
As CFO and Director of HR, Michael is responsible for all financial and administrative operations of the company, including budgeting and financing, reporting, accounting and human resources. Michael has over 15 years of diversified business consulting and accounting experience.
Michael joined Ferrandino & Son in August 2005. Prior to joining Ferrandino & Son, Michael was Vice President, Controller of a venture-backed technology firm in Manhattan. Prior to this, Michael was a Manager for both PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and KPMG LLP, where he specialized in providing assurance and advisory services for clients in the financial services industry. Michael is a Certified Public Accountant and earned his BBA from Adelphi University. Michael is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of CPA's and the Construction Financial Management Association.
ROBERT STASIO
Vice President
As Vice President, Bob is fully involved with the company on a corporate level. He reports directly to Peter Ferrandino and advises on matters such as business strategies, corporate growth, workloads, operational issues and company policies. In addition, Bob oversees the Environmental Services Division of the company. He procures all sales, and maintains complete operational and financial control of this department. He directs the estimators, project managers, and administrative resources within the Division.
Bob has over 20 years of experience in the industry. He joined Ferrandino & Son in August 2002. Prior to joining Ferrandino & Son, Bob was the manager of the pump and tank division for a local environmental company where he acted as the department manager and directed all project managers and labor crews within the department. Bob received a Stationary Engineer’s Certificate from Apex Technical School. Bob also has an associate’s degree in business from Nassau Community College.
DAVID KARCHER
Director of Business Development
As Director of Business Development, David heads up the Marketing, Business Development and Business Outreach efforts for our National General Contracting and Facility Service and Maintenance Divisions. David has introduced many new clients, market niches and opportunities to Ferrandino & Son, Inc. He has been integral in enhancing the corporate marketing strategy of the firm and is responsible for communicating the corporate message and services through a variety of channels and methods. In addition to his business development efforts, David has been instrumental in developing our Facility Service and Maintenance Division infrastructure through self-performed work and sub-contracted partnerships.
Prior to Ferrandino & Son, David worked for many years in the national retail facilities maintenance and security industry as a national sales executive. David’s undergraduate studies were completed at the New York Institute of Technology (BA) and his Graduate work was at New York University (MBA).
MICHAEL SHAPIRO
Senior Project Manager
Michael is responsible for managing our General Contracting Division. Michael directly manages the construction of projects from several long-standing Ferrandino & Son retail clients. He is responsible for all aspects of the projects including client relations, labor and material procurement, project schedules, and complete financial responsibility. Michael also oversees other project managers, site superintendents and administrative resources within the Division.
Michael has over 16 years of experience in the industry, holding positions of estimator, site superintendent, project manager and account executive. Michael joined Ferrandino & Son in November 2003. Prior to joining Ferrandino & Son, Michael was a project manager for KeySpan, working on several energy-related projects including a large-scale boiler plant renovation and construction of a cogeneration facility. Michael studied civil engineering at Syracuse University and construction management at SUNY College of Environmental Science & Forestry. Michael earned his BS degree from SUNY ESF, Syracuse, NY.
MICHAEL FINN
Operations Manager
Michael is responsible for directing all day-to-day functions of our field staff. Scheduling projects, distribution of manpower, dispatching of drivers, allocation of machinery and equipment, and quality control are the primary functions of Operations. Michael directly supervises the company's warehouse, mechanic shop and yard personnel. Site visits, job walks, meeting with existing customers, and estimating are also part of Michael’s duties.
Michael has gained valuable and applicable experience in his 16 years in the field, which includes concrete placement and estimating, carpentry, site work, and a strong knowledge of abatement and remediation. Having served as Operations Manager and Project Manager with previous employers, Michael has streamlined the Operations Department to handle the diversity of the more than 100 employees and an extensive fleet. Michael attended Suffolk Community College and Hofstra University, and holds a degree in Business Administration.
MICHAEL WEBER
Facility Service and Maintenance Manager
Michael is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the Facility Service and Maintenance Division. A 10-year veteran of the retail facility maintenance business, Michael’s focus is to cultivate our existing Facility Service and Maintenance Division infrastructure, along with overseeing our in-house technicians, and customer service representatives.
Prior to joining Ferrandino & Son, Michael worked with a leading national retail service company, running their day-to-day operations. Michael also worked with several regional contractors, helping them to streamline their operations, and maximize their productivity. Michael earned his BA from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
